We’ve all done it – scribbled mindlessly on scraps of paper, or on the edges of workbooks or on napkins at a restaurant. So what’s a doodle or zentangle, and why are they important at all? Can they break open a portal to your creative juices? And can they become something more “worthy” like a finished drawing or the foundation for a painting or sculpture? This workshop will show you how to effectively doodle, noodle & zentangle! Students finish the day with a framed piece of abstract art.
This workshop came about from Joan’s own personal experience as a stalled artist. She was forced to put off working on her art for years due to responsibilities in the “real” world. However, once awarded the chance to start working on her art again, she was terrified and stuck. Doodling opened the door and Joan came pouring out. Since then Joan has painted over 100 canvases, has been featured in many shows and has been awarded multiple awards for her work.
