SketchCrawl at Honey Horn

October 16, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join the Bluffton SketchCrawl Group as they travel over the bridge for a special event at the Coastal Discovery Museum. Come see the artists at work or bring your own sketch pad to join the fun.  If you’re a beginner, or thinking about it, there will be a “how to” demonstration to show you suggested supplies and provide some basic instructions to get started.
Honey Horn is full of opportunities for sketching – live oaks dripping with Spanish Moss, historic buildings, scenic marshes – and so much more.
In 2018, Doug Corkern organized the Bluffton SketchCrawl Group with the long-term goal of becoming a chapter of Urban Sketchers;  (USk) is a global community of artists that practice drawing on location in cities, towns and villages they live in or travel to.  Pam Johnson Brickell coordinates monthly crawls and handles administrative needs of the group.
Today the group membership is over 100 strong. They meet monthly and share a love for capturing the beauty of the Lowcountry working plein air to document a moment in time.
No charge for participating. No reservations required. “How To” demonstration is scheduled to begin at 10:30 AM, near the Discovery House.
