Get your hands into your artwork! We will create high relief and low relief sculptures working in clay or sand, followed by casting the design in durable plaster. Finished work is suitable to be displayed on a wall and will have an imbedded hook for this purpose!
Use of tools, technique, methods and considerations for bas and haute relief forms followed by the fascinating method of plaster casting are the focus of this workshop!
Alexandra is an experienced sculptor working in stone, wood, clay and plaster. Join us for this exciting class to learn invaluable tips and techniques for this fascinating medium!
NOTE:
In addition to the registration cost, students should bring $10 cash to pay the instructor for materials, all of which she will supply for you. Thi9s includes Clay, Sand, Plaster and all the tools you will need.
REFUND POLICY:
Ticket purchases to Art League of Hilton Head events are final. Refunds will not be given for missed or classes/workshops.
Pro-Rated Pricing is available on this open class on a weekly basis, however, membership discounts will not be given for any pro-rated prices.
If a class or workshop is canceled by Art League of Hilton Head a full refund will be given.

| Instructor Bio: |  Born into a family of artists, ALEXANDRA SHARMA learned early a unique awareness of form and space that is manifest in her work. A painter, print maker, sculptor, and art professor, Alexandra has a Fine Arts degree and has studied at the Sorbonne, France, and Oxford University, England. Her work spans over twenty-five years and she is known for unique visual imagery in her paintings and her ability to capture the moment as she works primarily en plein air.Alexandra is a founding member of the Multi Media Arts Guild, Kingston, Canada, and member of Hilton Head Art League, Apple Pie Painters, Northview Group of Artists, and a lifetime member of the American art honorary, Delta Phi Delta.Alexandra exhibits regularly at the Charles Street Gallery in Beaufort, SC and at ALHH Gallery. |
