“Painting Lowcountry Marshes in Acrylics” with Addison Palmer

Join us for this exciting class where instructor Addison Palmer will teach students the fundamentals and techniques needed to create your very own realistic marsh painting.

Composition, shadow, negative space, color mixing and layering are just some of the skills Addison will cover in this workshop, where students will paint a marsh scene from their own reference photograph.

SKILL LEVEL:
This class is designed for all levels of students.

NOTE:
Addison will be using heavy acrylics for this workshop! Those using other mediums are welcome to join, however, the processes Addison uses may not be applicable to your medium due to transparency and/or drying times.

REFUND POLICY:
Ticket purchases to Art League of Hilton Head events are final. Credits or Refunds will not be given for missed or classes/workshops.

If a class or workshop is canceled by Art League of Hilton Head a full refund will be given.

Materials Included: No materials are included in this class. A list of materials you should have available will be provided upon registration.

Canvas or Canvas Panel
Size should be NO LARGER than 16″ x 20″, please

Please bring a few drawing pencils
(For Sketching)

Acrylic Paints
BRING AT LEAST THESE COLORS:
1.Ultramarine Blue
2. White
3. Black
4. Red
5. Yellow Ochre
6. Light Blue
7. Light Purple
8. Yellow
9. Light Orange

Any additional colors you have or want to use

NOTE:Heavy Acrylic paint (in tubes), not craft paint. You can find good quality, but inexpensive heavy acrylic paints at Hobby Lobby. Their Hobby Lobby brand works great.

Kneaded Eraser

Rags or Paper Towels

Water Container

Paint Palette of Any Kind

Paint Brushes
(Both Sable and Bristle Brushes, a Variety of sizes)
