If you have ever wanted to try to paint in oils but didn’t know how to start, this 1-day workshop will introduce you to classic oil painting and the methods used to put paint to canvas and get you on your creative path. All the basics to get you started on an exciting journey are covered in this workshop: paints, brushes, surfaces to paint on (canvas, board etc.), color mixing, mediums, brushwork, palette knife use, and care of materials. All will be demonstrated and practiced. Come prepared to paint! Bring your lunch or purchase nearby during a 30-minute lunch break.
Information handouts are included. A $20 fee will cover all the materials to use in the workshop. All paintings are yours to take home!
NOTE:
In addition to the registration fee, students should bring $20 cash to pay for use of supplies, all of which will be provided for you.
SKILL LEVEL:
This class requires zero experience. It is specifically designed for beginners!

Ticket purchases to Art League of Hilton Head events are final. Refunds will not be given for missed or classes/workshops.
