Make a Pair of Mugs – Hand Building Techniques

Who: Ages 14 through Adult
When: Wednesday morning – 10 am – 12 pm

Starts: Apr. 8, May 6, or May 27, 2026…a 1 day project!
How Long: 2 Hour Class – 1-day session

Cost: $75/person

Where: Hilton Head Pottery Studio (includes all materials, glazes, and firing costs)

It’s time to treat yourself to a fun 1-day project. We have a perfect opportunity for you to experience hand-building while we make spectacular pieces…your very own pair of mugs. Our one-day class will include an introduction to rolling slabs, texturing, sculpting, & constructing your creation. Your mug can take on its own unique shape…handles looking like mushrooms, tree frogs, snakes, or abstract curly-cues. Your masterpiece will be fired and ready for pickup in a few weeks after class.

Our teaching method is hands-on, and class sizes are intentionally small so we can provide individualized attention as needed. This class is fun and low-key…we want you to learn what it takes to create a pottery piece, but it’s just as important to have a good experience.
