“Learning Different Approaches to Abstract Painting” with Art Cornell

This class is for students that want to work in abstract form. Whether you are new to abstract painting, or are an advanced student, you will gain insights into refining your skills.

Blending, color, focal point, negative space, lines, texture, composition, balance, all come into play. Critique will be done to better understand what works in a particular piece and perhaps what to leave out to create painting that is original and engaging.

SKILL LEVEL: This course is designed for beginner level, intermediate level, and advanced level abstract students, however the student should be familiar and understand the media they choose to work with. The instructor will provide one-on-one time and will be able to adjust according to each students individual level.
