War & Wine
A tale as old as wine…or time! War is an unfortunate hallmark of history, but wine is one of the happy spoils. This presentation brings history to life, including tastings to enhance the experience.
The Revolutionary War in the Beaufort District
MARCH 23 – 5-7PM
FISH CASUAL COASTAL SEAFOOD, 1 N. FOREST BEACH DRIVE, COLIGNY PLAZA
South Carolina has always been home to passionate and patriotic people. Join Rich Thomas from The Heritage Library to explore The Revolutionary War in the Beaufort District. The stubborn resistance by the Patriot stronghold on Hilton Head and the mainland was a major factor in protracting the English attempt at controlling the coast between Charleston and Savannah. Learn how the roles played by both the Beaufort District Regiment militia and Hilton Head militiamen were significantly locally and nationally. After the presentation, join us in a wine tasting curated just for this history lesson.
Cost – $50 per person
Presented by The Heritage Library in partnership with Fish Casual Coastal Seafood.
