Drawing from Nature: “Lowcountry Life” is designed for those who want to explore the ephemeral practice of drawing from nature. Basic elements of design will be discussed, and a variety of drawing techniques will be introduced.
The class will focus on drawing from our environment using the Lowcountry as inspiration. Using botanicals and objects from the beach, participants will create studies based on our beautiful home on Hilton Head. Techniques such as negative space and expressive line work will be discussed. This class will expand upon drawing basics, including structure and value.
Students will be encouraged to look at their environment in a new and imaginative way. Participants are encouraged to bring their own favorite objects from nature to draw.
SKILL LEVEL:
This class is developed for students of all skill levels.
REFUND POLICY:
Ticket purchases to Art League of Hilton Head events are final. Refunds will not be given for missed or classes/workshops.
If a class or workshop is canceled by Art League of Hilton Head a full refund will be given.
