Drawing Basics Boot Camp
This course is designed for those who have always had an interest in drawing but don’t know where to start. Don’t know how to draw? No problem! This tutorial will introduce you to the basics of drawing using step-by-step instructions. Participants will learn the basics from how to hold the pencil to how to shade. Hatching, Cross-Hatching and Stippling will be discussed. You’ll be keeping your own sketchbook like a professional artist in no time!
This class will focus on drawing basics from structure to value. A variety of drawing techniques will be introduced. The workshop will begin with an introduction to the materials. There will be a focus on developing a value scale and how to apply it to accurately drawn objects. Students will be encouraged to look at their environment in a new and imaginative way. Participants are encouraged to explore their own environment and incorporate it into their artwork.
We will have a 30 minute break for lunch, bring your lunch or grab a quick lunch at a cafe nearby.
NOTE:
Students have the option of bringing supplies or pre-ordering a supply kit for $20 (to be paid in cash the day of the workshop) by emailing academy@artleaguehhi.org after registration.
REFUND POLICY:
Ticket purchases to Art League of Hilton Head events are final. Refunds will not be given for missed or classes/workshops.
If a class or workshop is canceled by Art League of Hilton Head a full refund will be given.
