Discovery Night at the Museum – Beach Treasures Shadow Boxes

There is something special happening AFTER HOURS at the Coastal Discovery Museum. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to participate in unique experiences on Thursday evenings. Topics, activities, times, and fees vary…so keep checking the calendar to see what’s next.

Upcoming programs will include family-friendly and hands on activities in the Discovery Lab. Most will have a “take-home” component too! Check the Museum’s online calendar to find out more details about each week and to purchase tickets. Prices and exact times will vary.

6/30 & 7/28 – 5:00 – 6:00 – Beach Treasure Shadow Boxes

Exploring and treasure hunting on the beautiful beaches of Hilton Head Island is a
popular activity for both visitors and residents. Join us at the Coastal Discovery Museum and decorate your own shadow box to preserve our beach treasures and memories. Bring your beach items with you or add them later. Staff will also be available to help identify any mystery beach treasures you have. Shadow boxes are 5×7 with a 7×9 frame.You are welcome to decorate a box on your own or work together with your family/group on one box. $5 per person and $10 per shadow box.

Only registered paid participants will be admitted into programs. At least one registered adult must accompany each group.

These programs are for ages 7 and older.
