Guest presenters will share educational and fascinating stories about our unique Lowcountry environment, history, and culture. Whether your interest is learning, preserving, or exploring ways to make an impact, the Lecture Series gives you access to the experts throughout the year.

The Coastal Discovery Museum exhibiting artist and landscape designer Lisa D. Watson will discuss the problems with planting invasive species (and the seven most common blunders!) and alternatives for replacing them with native plants. Lisa blends her love of art, gardens, and environmental activism to raise awareness of the plight facing the natural world. Come learn how to turn your yard into an oasis for native biodiversity.
