Cellist, Brandon Leonard returns to the Lowcountry after winning Gold at the Sphinx Competition, to perform the charming Rococco Variations of Tchaikovsky, paired with two virtuoso works for string orchestra: Bach’s immortal Brandenburg Concerto no. 3 and Jessie Mongomery’s jazzy “Strum”. Mozart’s effervescent “Prague” Symphony concludes the program, conducted by the young rising star, Vinay Parameswaran, in his HHSO debut.
