If you have ever wanted to try to paint in watercolor but didn’t know how to start—or thought it would be too hard— this Zoom demo will introduce you to classic watercolor painting and the methods used to put paint to paper.
Color mixing, brushwork, weton- dry, wet-on-wet techniques, types of watercolor paper, painting mediums and care of materials will all be demonstrated and practiced.
Paint along with Alex using whatever watercolor paints and brushes you may have.

| Requirements: | All LIVE ONLINE DEMOs with Alex Sharma are offered through ZOOM and are designed so that students can watch, or paint along with while they watch. If you choose to paint along, you’re welcome to paint in whatever medium you choose, keeping in mind this demo is specifically focusing on the watercolor medium

| Instructor Bio: | Born into a family of artists, ALEXANDRA SHARMA learned early a unique awareness of form and space that is manifest in her work. A painter, print maker, sculptor, and art professor, Alexandra has a Fine Arts degree and has studied at the Sorbonne, France, and Oxford University, England. Her work spans over twenty-five years and she is known for unique visual imagery in her paintings and her ability to capture the moment as she works primarily en plein air.
Alexandra is a founding member of the Multi Media Arts Guild, Kingston, Canada, and member of Hilton Head Art League, Apple Pie Painters, Northview Group of Artists, and a lifetime member of the American art honorary, Delta Phi Delta. Alexandra exhibits regularly at the Charles Street Gallery in Beaufort, SC and at ALHH Gallery. |
