Led by the nationally and internationally acclaimed artist and instructor\, Addison Palmer\, this class invites you to bring your own reference photos and watch as your chosen subject comes to life on canvas. Addison will expertly guide you through essential techniques\, from mastering composition to the intricacies of color mixing and shadow\, ensuring you leave with not only a stunning piece of art but also invaluable skills. Seize this exciting opportunity to learn from a master artist and transform your artistic vision into reality. \nSKILL LEVEL:\nThis class was designed for all levels of students\, beginners through advanced. \nNOTE:\nAddison will be using heavy acrylics for this workshop! Those using other mediums are welcome to join\, however\, the processes Addison uses may not be applicable to your medium due to transparency and/or drying times. \nREFUND POLICY:\nTicket purchases to Art League of Hilton Head events are final. SUMMARY:"Intro to Resin: Mixed Media Holiday Ornaments" with Ryan McGivern
DESCRIPTION:Discover the art of resin casting in this hands-on introductory workshop. Learn the fundamentals of resin pouring while exploring colorants\, mixed media\, and a variety of ornament shapes. Guided step-by-step\, participants will design and craft up to five unique mixed media holiday ornaments—perfect to decorate\, share\, or gift. This creative experience blends artistry and technique\, offering a fun and inspiring way to transform simple materials into stunning\, one-of-a-kind holiday keepsakes. \nResin casts will take several days to dry. Pieces will be available to pick-up the following Tuesday (December 16\, 2025 from 10am to 2pm). Out of town students that need to have finished pieces shipped to them (at your expense) can make arrangements with the Academy Manager by emailing Academy@ArtLeagueHHI.org \n\nNOTE:\nAll materials are included with the price of this class.
