SUMMARY:Painting on Glass with Kathy Oda
DESCRIPTION:This fun workshop gives you the chance to play with glass! You will create your own 8″ x 8″ plate using glass as your canvas. No painting experience is necessary! This is a fun workshop so bring a friend and create something new! \nOnce you’ve finished your creations\, Kathy will take them to her studio\, fire them in the kiln and then return the finished plates to the Academy for you to pick up a week later. \n\n\n  \nNOTE:\nIn addition to the registration cost\, students should bring $20 cash to pay the instructor for their materials\, which she will provide for you. \nSPECIAL NOTE:\nStudents who have taken this class before are eligible to complete 2 plates during class for an additional materials fee. If you are a returning student and want to complete 2 plates\, you MUST make arrangements with the Academy Manager 7-days prior to the workshop by emailing academy@artleaguehhi.org. Only returning students are eligible to complete 2 plates. A maximum of 2 plates can be completed by a single attendee. \nSKILL LEVEL:\nThis workshop is appropriate for students of all levels. \nREFUND POLICY:\nTicket purchases to Art League of Hilton Head events are final. DESCRIPTION:All we ever need to know about color is in the color wheel for us to discover. \nImagine 6 specific colors— reds\, blues and yellows to create an endless range of mixed colors that will change the way you paint.   Now imagine using these colors to \nachieve clear\, bright colors\, the illusion of distance\, volume\, depth and shadow! \nAlex will paint in watercolor; however\, the color theory and mixing is the same for all paint media. Come prepared to paint in the medium of your choice as Alex introduces some surprising color combinations that make for brighter\, more intense\, fresh colors and avoid dull color. \n\nSKILL LEVEL:\nThis class requires zero experience. It is perfect for beginners\, or for students with experience wanting a brush-up or refresher of color theory! \nREFUND POLICY:\nTicket purchases to Art League of Hilton Head events are final.
