DESCRIPTION:2 Half-Days\nWednesday & Thursday (9am to 12pm)\nMay 21\, 22\, 2025 \nSpend two lovely mornings outside learning how to paint with oils or pastels in Plein Air! The first morning\, the class will start with painting demonstrations and information. Carol will share how she quickly captures the landscape in Plein Air.\nYou will learn how to focus in on a composition\, define the values\, identify the light source\, establish a point of focus and how to see and use colors effectively in your Plein Air paintings. You will learn the importance of painting light\, shadows and colors from life.There will be personalized teaching and individualized feedback. \n\nSKILL LEVEL:\nThis class is designed for beginner students\, intermediate students and advanced students. This all-levels class focuses a lot on individual assistance from the instructor\, who can adjust accordingly to each student.REFUND POLICY: \nTicket purchases to Art League of Hilton Head events are final. Credits or Refunds will not be given for missed or classes/workshops.If a class or workshop is canceled by Art League of Hilton Head a full refund will be given. \n\n\n\n\n\nMaterials Included:\nNo materials are included in this class\n\n\nRequirements:\nPLEASE BRING THE FOLLOWING: \nOIL PAINTERS SUPPLY LIST\nDownload a Printable Supply List. \nThe following is a list of items that I like to use. You may use whatever materials that you have or prefer. \nThe items in bold are the most important supplies needed. \nOILS\n(I primarily use Gamblin with a limited palette of Titanium White\, Cadmium Yellow Light\, Yellow Ochre\, Cadmium Red Light\, Alizarin Crimson\, Cerulean Blue\, Ultramarine Blue\, Sap Green\, Cadmium Green Light\, Veridian and Transparent Oxide Red). Depending on the location\, I will add Cadmium Orange\, Cerulean Blue\, Manganese Blue Hue\, Cobalt Blue\, Cobalt Teal\, Chromatic Black\, or Rembrandt Prussian Blue. Also a Permalba White and Transparent Brown Oxide \nSmall Sketchbook\n(I use 3.5″ x 5″ Strathmore Sketch.) \n(x2) Oil Painting Panels or Canvas\n11×14 or 12×16 are good sizes. DESCRIPTION:  \n \nThis course will introduce students (with pierced or non-pierced ears) to the tools\, supplies and vocabulary of jewelry making. Each student will create and complete 2 pair of earrings during the class. A supply list will be provided for the tools needed and students will receive supply kits from the instructor! Handouts will also be given during the course. \nNOTE:\nIn addition to the registration cost\, students should bring $20 cash to pay the instructor for the materials needed to make 2 pair of earrings.
