DESCRIPTION:WHEN:\n3-HALF-DAYS\nMonday to Wednesday (9:30am – 12:30pm)\nMarch 24\, 25\, 26\, 2025 \nWashi Tape is a not-very-sticky masking tape made from rice paper. It comes in rolls of solid colors\, as well as patterns\, and provides adherence to a variety of surfaces. \nThis course is taught by local artist Joan Moreau McKeever\, who is here to teach YOU how to create your very own realistic or abstract collages using washi tape! \nStudents will learn the technique of creating with this new art form. Landscapes\, Flowers\, People\, Abstracts…. NO LIMIT! Washi Tape is primarily used for crafting\, but in this workshop\, we are going to take it to a whole new level! NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! \n\nNOTE:\nIn addition to the registration fee\, students should bring $30 cash to pay the instructor for materials\, all of which will be provided for you. Please bring exact change. \n\n\nSKILL LEVEL:\nThis workshop is designed for true beginners\, intermediate and advanced level students. This workshop will be perfect for any level of student! \nREFUND POLICY:\nTicket purchases to Art League of Hilton Head events are final. This presentation recounts Small’s pivotal role in the struggle to defend and extend African American rights in the tense\, sometimes explosive atmosphere of South Carolina Reconstruction.
