SUMMARY:"The Use of Color in Abstract Work" with Art Cornell
DESCRIPTION:This is a one-day class for students to take a look at how color and line influence any abstract artwork. Most abstract paintings can draw a viewer’s attention by the judicious use of great colors and or line application alone. In this course\, we will experiment with different colors for effect and even the absence of color to ascertain how it influences abstract paintings. \nSKILL LEVEL: This course is designed for beginner to advanced levels students in abstract\, however\, students should understand how to use the medium they are using. Please be sure to read the supplies list below and bring all of the correct supplies to class with you. \nREFUND POLICY:\nTicket purchases to Art League of Hilton Head events are final. Credits or Refunds will not be given for missed or classes/workshops. \nIf a class or workshop is canceled by Art League of Hilton Head a full refund will be given. \n  \n\n\n\nMaterials Included:\nNo materials are included in this workshop. A list of materials you should bring with you is provided below.\n\n\nRequirements:\nSUPPLY LIST: \nDownload a printable supply list \nNOTE REGARDING SUPPLIES:\nIt is IMPORTANT to know your medium and how it will react on surfaces\, and bring the correct surface and supplies with you to class. \nCanvas OR Watercolor Paper\nIf you’re using watercolor paper\, it should be a MINIMUM of 140lb! \nFor Those Using Acrylic:\nYou should ONLY bring heavy acrylic (not liquid) AND bring a multitude of colors. \nA roll of paper towels\n(Bounty is Best) \nA Container to hold water \nA Variety of Palette Knives\n(A variety from large to small) \nStraight Edge Tool\n(A Putty Knife works good) \nA variety of brushes \nAny other supplies required for your medium. \nNOTE: If you have any questions\, or any doubt\, please email the academy manager before class! \nQUESTIONS?\nPlease Email:\nAcademy@ArtLeagueHHI.org
