DESCRIPTION:Join us for this exciting 3-Day palette knife workshop with Ohio based guest instructor\, Trish Weeks. We will discuss palette knife techniques to add tools to your toolbox. This workshop will focus on helping you learn the tools for making impressionistic paintings with complimentary color and using palette knife techniques along with composition and color theory to create the best painting. \nJoin us and add more excitement to your paintings with palette knife technique and color. Students will learn to alter their source materials to create horizontal\, square and vertical compositions! \nDaily demonstrations will be given on different subjects using different surfaces each time! SUMMARY:Oils and Acrylics" Obtaining Luminance and Transparency with Alex Sharma
DESCRIPTION:Imagine achieving amazing transparency for water and glass. Oil and acrylic paintings can have that transparent—almost watercolor—look through the application of specific techniques and methods in conjunction with use of a paint medium. We will find our subjects in studio from photo references and still life. Spontaneity of method and color mixing for the subject will be achieved through class demonstrations\, technique exercises\, individual attention and critiques. (some experience in oils or acrylics) \n\n\n\n\nSKILL LEVEL:\nStudents taking this course should have some experience using whatever medium they’re taking the class in (oil or acrylic). \nREFUND POLICY:\nTicket purchases to Art League of Hilton Head events are final.
