DESCRIPTION:Check out your jewelry box and those of your friends and relatives. We all have pieces that we no longer wear. With some creativity\, we will repurpose and redesign those long held treasures. This will be a collaborative effort with all participants sharing their finds and ideas for up dating and restyling your jewelry parts. \n\nREFUND POLICY:\nTicket purchases to Art League of Hilton Head events are final. SUMMARY:Capturing Reflections with Pastels with Carol Iglesias
DESCRIPTION:“Learn how to Paint with Brilliant Color and Texture” \nLearn how to Paint with Brilliant Color and Texture. \nExpand your skills with the vibrancy of soft pastels. The class will start with a full painting demonstration. Carol will share her process for blocking in large simple shapes before layering colors. Learn how to capture believable reflections\, focus on a strong composition\, define values\, establish a point of focus\, and how to see and use color effectively in your paintings. You will also learn how to interpret your reference photographs and understand the relationships between value\, color temperature and color intensity. There will be personalized teaching and individualized feedback throughout the day. \nSKILL LEVEL:\nThis class is designed for beginner students\, intermediate students and advanced students. These are suggestions. You may use whatever materials that you have or prefer with the exception of a toned sanded paper (any color) which works best with my teaching techniques. \nThe items in bold are the most important supplies needed. \nSoft Pastels\n(I primarily use Sennelier Half Sticks\, Jack Richeson\, Blue Earth or Great American) \nHard Pastels\n(I occasionally use a few Jack Richeson or Nupastel) \nVine Charcoal or graphite stick \nSmall Sketchbook\n(I use 3.5″ x 5″ Strathmore Sketch) \nPastel Premier Two 12″ x 16″ size sheets\, toned Pastel Premier sanded paper.\nIt can be mounted or an individual sheet from an assorted colors pack.
