DESCRIPTION:Balancing Realism and Abstraction in the Environment \nEllen DiFazio exhibits her work at Art League this March \n  \nGestures in Nature: The Allure of the Landscape\, an exhibit of paintings by Ellen DiFazio\, will be on view at Art League of Hilton Head March 5-April 5. DiFazio offers a view of nature through a semi-abstract lens\, often featuring a muted color palette along with texture built upon and scratched into the canvas. She utilizes a range of media while focusing on capturing nature’s spirit rather than its form. \n  \nA native of Long Island\, DiFazio is inspired by her surroundings\, whether the landscapes of Long Island\, New York or the beaches and marshes of Hilton Head Island. DiFazio is a former high school art teacher and holds a master’s degree in art. She loves sharing her love of the environment through her work and exhibits her work both in New York and on Hilton Head Island. “My move to Hilton Head has further fueled my dedication to creating beauty from our incredible surroundings.” \n  \nAn opening reception will be held Wednesday\, March 6\, 5-7pm. DESCRIPTION:Balancing Realism and Abstraction in the Environment \nEllen DiFazio exhibits her work at Art League this March \n  \nGestures in Nature: The Allure of the Landscape\, an exhibit of paintings by Ellen DiFazio\, will be on view at Art League of Hilton Head March 5-April 5. DiFazio offers a view of nature through a semi-abstract lens\, often featuring a muted color palette along with texture built upon and scratched into the canvas. She utilizes a range of media while focusing on capturing nature’s spirit rather than its form. \n  \nA native of Long Island\, DiFazio is inspired by her surroundings\, whether the landscapes of Long Island\, New York or the beaches and marshes of Hilton Head Island. DiFazio is a former high school art teacher and holds a master’s degree in art. She loves sharing her love of the environment through her work and exhibits her work both in New York and on Hilton Head Island. “My move to Hilton Head has further fueled my dedication to creating beauty from our incredible surroundings.” \n  \nAn opening reception will be held Wednesday\, March 6\, 5-7pm. DiFazio will host a gallery walk on Friday\, March 8\, 11am-12pm\, where she will expound on her work\, influences\, and process. DESCRIPTION:Heart to Heart\, a new art exhibit by the Artists of Sea Pines opens Thursday\, February 1st at the Sea Pines Community Center  The show will debut with a reception\, free and open to the public on February 1st 4:30-6:30 pm. \nFebruary is American Heart month and a portion (10%) of every sale made by a participating artist will be donated to a “dear to our hearts” cause….Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) on Hilton Head Island. \nHeart to Heart marks the second year that artists from Hilton Head Plantation have been invited to participate.  Paintings\, photographs\, sculpture and stained glass will be on display. \nThe Sea Pines Community Center is open Monday – Friday from 8:30 – 4:30. \n71 Lighthouse Road in Sea Pines Shopping Center \nThe exhibit runs through April 26\, 2024 \n
