He played at various Jazz Clubs in the Washington Area. In 1989 he moved Hilton Head Island\, where he was the featured band at Big Rocco’s for 9 years. His band was at the Blue Night Club for 4 years and then on to The Jazz Corner for 6 years. \nJohn performs regularly with his Quartet at Redfish on Hilton Head Island.

DESCRIPTION:The Concert Truck is coming to Hilton Head Island for a Mini-Residency presented by the Town of Hilton Island Office of Cultural Affairs\, Marriott Vacation Club\, and Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra International Piano Competition. \nThe Concert Truck co-founder Susan Zhang returns for her entertaining trademark “piano-four-hands” performances\, this time with celebrated 2025 Hilton Head International Piano Competition Winner Jonathan Mamora as her partner.  Together they will perform four rousing programs over two days\, entertaining audiences young and old\, including free concerts on: \nMonday\, September 28 at 10 am.  Jarvis Creek Park\, 10 Nature’s Way \nMonday\, September 28 at 1 pm. Shelter Cove Park\, Shelter Cove Lane \nTuesday\, September 29 at 11 am. Sunshine House \, 64 Arrow Road \nTuesday\, September 29 at 6:30 pm Harbour Point and Sunset Pointe at 2 Shelter Cove Lane \nAll concerts are free of admission charge and open to the public.
