SUMMARY:Grammy-Nominated\, World-Renowned Guitarist Dan Wilson's Quartet
DESCRIPTION:Show Ticket $25 \nDinner is required with all reservations. \n*6:30 PM SHOW – DINNER RESERVATIONS FROM 5:15 PM \n*9:00 PM SHOW – DINNER RESERVATIONS FROM 8:00 PM \nDan Wilson – Guitar \nGlenn Zaleski – Piano \nBrandon Rose – Bass \nDavid Throckmorton – Drums \n“Dan Wilson is the man with the magic touch. Highly endorsed by none other than Pat Metheny\, Wilson’s reputation as a first-rate jazz guitarist has permeated the walls of the elite in the upper echelon of jazz guitar. This Grammy-nominated artist has already cemented his place as a world-class player\, and his recent exploits show that he has no plans of slowing down.” – Jazz Guitar Today \nTraces of Wilson’s major guitar influences – including Wes Montgomery\, Charlie Christian\, Joe Pass\, and George Benson to name a few – can be discerned through his playing\, but his musical identity has been shaped by everything from gospel and blues to traditional jazz\, hip-hop and horn players like Sonny Rollins and Joe Henderson. \nAfter graduating from Hiram College\, Wilson made his recording debut with pianist Joe McBride and performed to worldwide acclaim with Joey DeFrancesco and Christian McBride’s Tip City\, eventually recording his debut as a leader To Whom It May Concern. Wilson has had the honor of sharing the stage with jazz greats including Eric Marienthal\, Russell Malone\, Les McCann\, René Marie\, Jeff Hamilton\, David Sanborn and Dave Stryker. He also teaches jazz guitar and music theory through private lessons. \nWilson’s career took him on an exploratory journey into foundations laid down by the guitar/organ tradition\, eventually leading to an invitation to perform with jazz great Joey DeFrancesco’s trio quartet\, with which Wilson went on to earn a GRAMMY® Award nomination with for DeFrancesco’s Project Freedom album (Mack Avenue Records\, 2017). \nThis collaboration allowed the guitarist to insert his own dialect into the musical prowess and respect that DeFrancesco had earned throughout his journey. \nWilson had been playing with DeFrancesco for a few years when he met bassist\, composer\, arranger\, Christian McBride. From there\, Wilson went on to tour with McBride’s trio Tip City\, eventually leading McBride to serve as producer on “Vessels of Wood and Earth” and release the album on his newly formed imprint Brother Mister Productions through Mack Avenue Music Group. \nThe album was released on April 23\, 2021 and is available on all platforms.

SUMMARY:Two-Time GRAMMY Nominee Cyrile Aimee with Pianist/Composer Mathis Picard
DESCRIPTION:Show Ticket $30 \nDinner is required with all reservations. \n*6:30 PM SHOW – DINNER RESERVATIONS FROM 5:15 PM \n*9:00 PM SHOW – DINNER RESERVATIONS FROM 8:00 PM \nCyrille’s talents quickly gained her a reputation among her peers as a fearless\, warm\, witty improviser and a matchless interpreter of song: she performed and recorded with Roy Hargrove\, stole the show in front of the notoriously hard-to-please crowd at the Harlem Apollo\, and won a string of competitions culminating in First Prize at the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition. \nA contract with Mack Avenue Records\, the home of many of the US premier league jazz artists\, resulted in two highly acclaimed albums which attracted the attention of one of the premier league songwriters – Steven Sondheim. The musical theatre icon invited her to star alongside the legendary Bernadette Peters in an Encores Special Presentation tribute at New York’s City Centre in November 2013\, backed by Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Centre Orchestra\, which was hailed by the New York Daily News as “a revelation.” Her 2019 album Move On featured versions of Sondheim’s songs which received praise from Sondheim himself\, and one of its songs\, “Marry Me a Little”\, was nominated for a 2019 Grammy Award. Starting in 2020\, she reached out into the digital realm via a string of YouTube video collabs with the pianist and jazz influencer Emmet Cohen\, and their version of ‘La Vie enRose’ has been viewed more than 7 million times to date. \nAt the height of her New York success\, new horizons beckoned. A growing interest in sharing her vision of the interaction of spontaneity and creativity\, and the importance of community\, led to her developing her ideas into a TEDx Talk about the laws of improvisation and how they apply to life. A visit to New Orleans resulted in her falling in love with the city and moving there in 2017. NO’s unique mix of Latin\, French and African-American Jazz heritage allowed her to fully explore all the sides of her own musical identity\, freeing her to look beyond the constrictions of genre and to engage with her own inner creativity. Energized\, unstoppable\, in 2021 she bought a plot of land in the forests of Costa Rica\, designed and built a house on it\, and there in the calm of the forest started putting together material for a new project: songs drawn from her own life\, encompassing every aspect of her journey so far.
