A 4:30pm “family friendly” matinee and an evening event including hor d’oeuvres\, and a silent art auction featuring local artists. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7pm. The event is designed to raise funds to support 21st century learning in the Lowcountry with films that explore themes connected to Mountainfilm’s mission of using the power of film\, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world.\nThe Island Academy has been organizing Mountainfilm on Tour Hilton Head for four years in an effort to raise funds to allow all children the educational opportunity they deserve. The Island Academy believes that an optimal environment for learning and growth ought to be made readily available to children everywhere. While hosting an inspiring collection of films\, the show is also an opportunity to help provide an upleveled educational experience for a child that may not otherwise have the same chance.
