SUMMARY:" A Stitch in Time"
DESCRIPTION:Heritage Library is once again exhibiting with “A Stitch in time”.  Our 2025 celebration of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution quilt\, is surrounded by additional Revolutionary War moments and bracketed by fabric art pieces by Peg Weschke and Jody Wigton.  Peg and Jody are part of the team from Art Quilters of the Low Country that created “A Stitch in Time”.  Frances Marion (the Swamp Fox) is part of the exhibit and gives you a perfect “selfie” moment with the Birg. General.  There is lots to see and learn\, so please visit this exhibit.  You can purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win “Stitch in Time on the website at heritagelib.org

DESCRIPTION:Elizabeth Robin will emcee. \nNovember 5 Featured Poet/Comedian: Brooke Barry \nBrooke Barry is a writer and comedian from South Georgia where she grew up on a farm and was raised by bulldogs. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Hollins University and is the recipient of two Academy of American Poets Awards. Brooke’s work has received scholarships to the Sewanee Writers’ Conference\, Looking Glass Rock Writers’ Conference\, and Writers in Paradise. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Florida Review\, Copper Nickel\, New South\, Salt Hill Journal\, Potomac Review\, The Southeast Review\, Columbia Poetry Review\, RHINO Poetry\, Artemis and Kestrel. Most recently\, she won the Audience Choice Award at the 12th Annual Comedy Battle in Savannah\, GA. She lives with two dogs\, Jane and Arlo. She is excited about a tour that began this summer\, where she says she’ll “be everywhere from Tennessee to South Carolina to Florida and more places to come.
