Discovery Night at the Museum – Busy Bees
July 14 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm$10
There is something special happening AFTER HOURS at the Coastal Discovery Museum. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to participate in unique experiences on Thursday evenings. Topics, activities, times, and fees vary…so keep checking the calendar to see what’s next.
Upcoming programs will include family-friendly and hands on activities in the Discovery Lab. Most will have a “take-home” component too! Check the Museum’s online calendar to find out more details about each week and to purchase tickets. Prices and exact times will vary.
Honeybees work hard and stay busy collecting nectar and pollen to make honey, beeswax, and so much more. Bees are important pollinators, and we often enjoy using the products they make. Take a closer look at some bees working hard through the glass of an observation hive. Use beeswax to make your own candle and lip balm to take home.
Get a taste of a few different types of honey and guess what the bees that made each batch of honey where pollinating.
All children must be accompanied by a participating adult. Only registered participants will be permitted into the program area (space is limited).
Upcoming programs: Fish Print Tote Bags, Beach Treasure Shadow Boxes, Found Object Sea Turtles, Sea Shell Memories Frames and more!
